You still have 4 whole days to complete you blog assignment (see previous posts). I have been checking them online and am so impressed with those of youwho have completed the assignment already. Your marks will be available next Tuesday.
I still need some permission slips back from you re: Media Release for your blogs... Please hand them in asap. Also, I have decided that WE WILL NOT be posting any photos on our blogs.
You've received your final assignment before the Christmas Break. I can't wait to see how each group portrays their song!
FINAL ASSIGNMENT 
1) Using your Jack Johnson song lyrics, brainstorm in your group ways you can act out your song. You can use the words "literally" (acting out exactly what is written), or choose to create a deeper story to go with the song (like a music video).
2) EVERY person in the group must participate in some way.
3) Props are allowed.
4) The song will be playing during your skit, so you will be acting without words.
5) If you wish, you may act out a short skit before and/or after the song is played.
6) All groups will receive a copy of your song to read so they can follow along.
Total Group Mark will be out of 4.
RUBRIC:
1 = minimally meets expectations (no clear ideas, unprepared, everyone didn't participate, not enough effort)
2 = approaching expectations/satisfactory (somewhat clear ideas, somewhat prepared, everyone participated but not with enough effort).
3 = meets expectations (ideas communicated to audience in a creative manner, prepared, each group member puts in effort equally).
4 = exceeds expectations (well thought-out and clear ideas communicated to audience, very prepared, entertaining, extra effort from each group member is apparent).
Make sure you have assigned some responsible people in your group to be in charge of keeping the lyrics. I will post links to all the song lyrics below so you can hear them from home.

ReplyDeleteI will give you 5 minutes to practice at the beginning of class. Good for you for double-checking! It's up to you where you want to face during your performance. It would be nice, however, if we could see your lovely faces. :) Don't ever be sorry for asking for help! That's what I'm here for! Sorry so late!
